I’m Dimitar, an architect with a passion for capturing the beauty of architecture through photography. Originally from Sofia, Bulgaria, I have spent the last 13 years studying architecture and then working as a full-time architect for the Vienna studio smartvoll.

Photography has been a hobby of mine since high school, and over the years it has developed into a true passion. About a decade ago, I discovered that architectural photography perfectly combined my professional expertise with my love for capturing moments through the lens.

As an architect, I know how important the final images are to the project. Choosing the right composition, time of day/year, and colors is crucial to representing the hard work of a whole team, sometimes years in the making. My images always try to show the concept and intention of the designers and not just the buildings and spaces in a beautiful way.

Many of my photographs have been featured on magazine covers and have contributed to prestigious awards for the architectural firms I have worked with.
